I am a Gainesville native and have called Hall County home for most of my life. I graduated from Gainesville High School in 1975 and Southern Tech in 1978 with a Degree in Industrial Engineering. I have over 20 years’ experience as a Project Manager managing complex and lengthy projects. My wife, Helen, and I recently celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary. We are parents of Carolyn, Molly and Will and blessed with five grandchildren–all Hall County residents. Our family worships at Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
Since 2005, I’ve had the honor of serving as one of your County Commissioners. During my years of service to Hall County, I’ve been a champion of an efficient government and enhanced services to you.
I’ve raised my family here and I’ve seen how easy it is for other families to fall in love with Hall County, regardless of how long they’ve lived here. My life experiences working alongside you play a key role shaping the way I implement solutions to make this County even stronger. I have listened to your ideas and concerns, turning them into positive steps forward for all involved.
In addition to my service as a County Commissioner, I’ve served on the Hall County Library board and Hall County Parks & Leisure board. I’ve chaired the Board of the Lake Lanier Convention and Visitors Bureau. I’ve held leadership positions with the Economic Development Council; Lanier Joint Development Council; Lake Lanier Association; and the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce.
I humbly ask for your vote now or on June 9 so we can continue to make Hall County the best place to raise a family, to worship, to grow a career, to prosper a business, and to recreate.
