has sponsored two college interns whose work on special projects with various departments throughout the County helped streamline processes and reduce costs.   In addition to his role as County Commissioner, Billy is also an Advisor with Sperry Van Ness/Hokayem Commercial Real Estate.

Giving back to the community has been a priority for Billy for many years.  At 15, he earned his Eagle Scout award.  Since then, both he and Helen have volunteered for many community based charities.  They are also long standing members of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce.  Billy has served on the Hall County Library Board, the Hall County Parks and Leisure Services Board, the Lake Lanier Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Board, the LLCVB Executive Board and the Lanier Joint Development Authority.
